I apologise if this is the wrong place to ask, but I can’t find a more appropriate place. I have sent off my application and completed the writing sample but I don’t believe I have sent it to the correct email address. All I get in reply is another automated response identical to the first I received. Is this to be expected?

I have a full-time job and, although not yet published, enjoy writing in my spare time. I am extremely interested in joining your team. However I am unsure how much of my time will be required and whether there is flexibility in this – the amount of time I can spend writing may vary signficantly from one month to the next.

Thanks for your comment. We recently updated our T&Cs and that part must have been left out. It’s now been updated, but effectively the rate of payment depends on a couple of factors – the primary factor being the length of the piece.

We note you’ve made an application and assuming you make it onto our team of writers, full details of payment are given with any new assignment before you accept it.
